Joseph has over 20 years of sales and management experience and is the Agency Owner of Brightway Insurance, The Janicki Agency in Lake Zurich. Brightway is a local, independent insurance agency offering clients more convenience and a better way to buy insurance with access to more insurance companies than any other agency. Their focus on the community and dedication to providing an exceptional client experience has already won them several awards, including the Travelers Star Award. They were also named the Lake Zurich Area Chamber of Commerce New Business of the Year.

Joe is not only a business leader but also a community leader who is passionate about serving the community he calls home. As an active member of several local organizations, Joe demonstrates his commitment to making a positive impact on those around him. Joe is currently the Vice Chair of Communications for the District 95 Educational Foundation, is a current member and prior board of the Lake Zurich Lions Club and is the Immediate Past President of the Rotary Club of Lake Zurich. Additionally, Joe is a current member and prior board member for the Lake Zurich Area Chamber of Commerce. Through these roles, he continues to make meaningful contributions to his community and support local initiatives.

Originally from Palatine, Joe now resides in Lake Zurich, where he enjoys spending time with his family and traveling. Married to his wife Erica, he has three children: son Caden, who attends elementary school in Lake Zurich; daughter Mikala, a Clinical Exercise Physiologist at Rush University Medical Center; and daughter Juliana, who works as a nurse in Kansas City. Joe is also a proud grandfather to two adorable granddaughters, Hazel and Grace, who also live in Kansas City.

If I could invent a holiday, it would involve : Tacos

I have (Pet): Two rescue cats, Envy and Spite

If I won the lottery tomorrow, I would : Start a non-profit to help those in need of mental health and basic education.

What's your favorite book/movie/TV show and why? Alice in Wonderland… imagination is the only weapon in the war against reality.

What's a fun fact about you that most people don't know? I collect elephants, they never forget their way home.

What was your dream job as a child? I wanted to be a snipper in the military or a cop…I watched a lot of NCIS

My favorite meal is…anything with Balsamic vinegar, Mozzarella and Tomatoes

I have a pet…Salamander named Sally

What's your favorite book/movie/TV show and why? Castle/Psych, I can watch it 100 times and not get sick of it.

If you could be any animal, which one would you be and why? Probably a goose, they just chill wherever they want, and they yell at you if you get to close.
